Don't 'Dis' my ability

N.S.W. Government and the Dept. of Aging, Disability and Homecare is supporting a month long campaign called: “Don’t Dis- my Ability”.

It’s about time that Disabled people were recognised for who they are and not just for ‘what they are’. However, all the above have ‘dissed’ medical sufferers when it comes to a vital medication.

1) They’ve DIS-MISSED medical cannabis and its beneficiaries.

2) They’ve DIS-ALLOWED individuals to choose vital medication that truly benefits them.

3) They’ve DIS-CRIMINATED against disabled people for their choice.

4) They’ve DIS-APPROVED of medical cannabis no matter the proven benefits or improvement of quality of life for its beneficiaries.

5) They’ve DIS-COURAGED any positive research and application in favour of the ‘take our drugs only’ policy.

"When wealth replaces health, there’s a problem. When greed takes the place of need, there’s a problem. When people have to suffer because of unjust policies, there’s a problem. All the above is not the ‘FAIR GO. ‘Fair’ = ‘just’, ‘balanced’. ‘equal’". - D.Nentwig

Up until about 60 years ago, Cannabis was available and approved of as a medicine, then was promptly pulled off the shelves and dismissed as 'unecessary'. Instead, began a tremendous push for Pharmaceutical drug extracts and synthetic drugs. It was then taken further, by announcing that ALL cannabis use was illegal regardless of whether it was for recreation, medicinal or spiritual application, which made the people who utilised it for their specific needs into criminals.

This was a criminal act in itself.

Instead, people are 'encouraged' (forced) to take the available legal drugs for both recreation and medicine, regardless of their toxicity, addictive properties and side effects by making their choice illegal.

Quote from Paul Connett, Emeritus Professor of Chemistry St. Lawrence University, New York

"By enforcing the public to consume (a particular medication), NSW Health is doing what no Doctor is allowed to do - enforce medication. This is an unethical violation of a central tenet of medical practice and a breach of some basic human rights”.

Quote from President Gorge W. Bush Jr. State of the Union Speech January 23rd 2007 - "In all we do, we must remember that the best health care decisions are not made by government and insurance companies, but by patients and their doctors". (Pity he doesn't really believe it).

and we mustn't forget two very important statements by a former Prime Minister of Australia and the present one.......

Quote from Former PM. John Howard - "It is not the role of Government to tell the people what risks and choices they can and can't take",

and P.M. Kevin Rudd - Australians should not be kow-towing to anybody when it comes to freedom in this country".

"To alleviate suffering for those who either suffer all their lives, or suffer acutely, is JUSTICE" - D. Nentwig
