We would especially like to hear from Medical cannabis users in Australia as Medical cannabis needs to be made more of a positive issue here. We've been campaigning for 4 years now (and others for even longer) and it appears to be quite safe to campaign, write to Politicians etc. with your real name and even address, or even take a Campaign out to the streets (which we have done, and will be doing again). All the Police seem to be concerned about is that people do not have cannabis on them or partake of it while out.....campaigning about any subject is really Freedom of Speech and if people are RESPECTFULLY campaigning and not bothering anyone, they don't seem to mind. (Although in public council areas, you do need a permit - if the council will give you one).
Other people campaigning for Cannabis awareness have been offered places at markets (as we have) and also to give talks at various places. Just be sure of your subject as some people are very negative and like proof of studies etc.
Please remember, this is a Medical Cannabis Awareness blogsite and we do not deal with recreational cannabis use here. We do not object to people using recreational cannabis, it is just that we want to maintain the focus towards Medical.
